Welcome to our latest newsletter! As an entrepreneur, one of the most valuable lessons I've learned is the importance of knowing the right questions to ask and identifying who to ask. This skill has been instrumental in navigating both business and life challenges throughout my journey.
When I was just starting out, I often felt lost, learning everything on the fly. I encountered numerous hurdles, many of which were standard challenges for new businesses. However, facing them for the first time was daunting. One of the biggest difficulties was figuring out who to approach for help and how to move forward efficiently.

I recall the early years of my business vividly. I always thought there was some magic strategy or secret that would catapult my business to success. At the time, there wasn’t really anyone to speak to—Instagram wasn’t that far along, Facebook groups weren’t really a thing, and there was no one industry specific to consult with. It felt lonely, and seeing other businesses seemingly doing well made me feel like they knew something I didn’t.
The key realization that transformed my approach was this: nobody is going to do the work for you. No one will look out for your best interests or go the extra mile for your business. Lawyers, accountants, government officials, and the like can provide guidance, but they won't do the heavy lifting for you.
The true challenge lies in finding the right questions to ask. These professionals often have the answers you need, but due to being overworked or managing many clients, they may not tailor their advice specifically to your situation unless prompted correctly. You must identify and ask the precise questions that will unlock the information crucial to your success.
One of the reasons I find so much joy in my coaching and consulting work in this industry is utilizing the 10+ years of experience that I’ve accumulated. Being able to pass that down and support others in their business journey has been a personally fulfilling process for me and has helped numerous companies along the way.
Robert Kiyosaki, in his book "Rich Dad Poor Dad," emphasizes this point well: "The ability to sell, to communicate to another human being, be it a customer, employee, boss, spouse, or child, is the base skill of personal success." This quote underscores the importance of effective communication and the ability to ask the right questions as a cornerstone of success.
Here are a few tips to help you master this skill:
Research Thoroughly: Understand your problem well enough to ask detailed and specific questions.
Network Wisely: Build a network of knowledgeable contacts who can either answer your questions or direct you to someone who can.
Be Persistent: Don’t be afraid to follow up and dig deeper if the initial responses are not helpful.
Stay Organized: Keep track of the information you gather and the questions you still need to ask.
Learn Continuously: As your business grows, so should your knowledge and the sophistication of your questions.
So begin focusing on asking the right questions and seeking out the right people, you can overcome obstacles more quickly and effectively. Have a proactive approach and you'll see quickly that it will lead to better results and a smoother path to success.
Keep hauling forward, and remember, the answers are out there, but it’s up to you to uncover them.
